After a HydraFacial, you should take care of your skin to promote healing and maintain the benefits of the treatment:
* Avoid heat: For 24–48 hours, avoid heat sources like saunas, hot showers, and intense workouts.
* Avoid sun exposure: For at least 3 days, avoid unprotected sun exposure and tanning beds. Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily for 3–5 days.
* Avoid exfoliation: For 48 hours, avoid exfoliating the treated area.
* Avoid harsh products: Avoid products that contain retinol, AHA/BHA's, and exfoliants. You can use a gentle cleanser and hydrating moisturizer.
* Avoid makeup: Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to acne, you may want to wait 48 hours or longer.
* Avoid aggressive treatments: Avoid laser procedures or waxing for about two weeks.
* Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water and limit diuretics like caffeine and alcohol.
* Avoid rubbing, picking, or scratching: Don't rub, pick, or scratch the skin.
* Develop a skincare regimen: Work with your skincare specialist to develop a personalized skincare regimen.
You should also be aware that your skin may experience slight sensitivity during the hours after the treatment. In rare cases, you may experience itching, flaking, lumps and bumps, redness, or swelling. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should notify your clinician immediately.

To ensure the best results and avoid irritation, please refrain from using any active ingredients for 5 days before and after your treatments. Active ingredients include benzoyl peroxide, retinol, salicylic acid, glycolic acid and vitamin C serum. We recommend using only a gentle cleanser and a gentle moisturiser during this period. We highly recommend using a medical grade SPF 50 following your treatment.
